AWA Senior Missionaries Conference April 2022

In April 2022 we had a zone conference for all the Senior Missionaries serving throughout the Area,  from Senegal to Ghana.  Those who are not stationed in and around Accra joined in on Zoom.  Elder & Sister Kacher both spoke.  Great people.  They go home to Midway, Utah July 1 as he has reached the General Authority Emeritus status (he has turned 70).  They will be missed by everyone who knows them.

After the discussion, we took a group picture of those attending in the Area Office conference room.  Here they are, from left to right:

Standing:    Terry & Cynthia Call (Executive Secretaries to the Area Presidency), Ross, Jeri Jacobs (husband is in the OGC office of general counsel), Elaine, Jon and Shauna Duke (Pathway, from Bountiful), Jack Nelson (Diane is taking the picture, Area Historians, from Midway), Neil & Jill Whitaker (Accra Mission couple, from Bear Lake, Neil went to Bountiful High, class of '72), Dale Olsen (Public relations, from Boise), Eric & Lori Derr (Self-reliance, from Logan), Emmy & Richard Burton (Head of AWA OGC, an employee), Marlin & Lisa Porter (OGC, from Arizona), MTC couple (I have forgotten their names), Greg Lewis (Family History, from Willard, Utah), David Middleton (Mental health, from Fullerton, CA), Debbie Lewis, Jolynn Middleton, Grayden & Claudia Bridge (Temple missionaries, from Raymond, BC), Nancy & Doug Dance (6-month tour training stake women leaders, from Midway), Jeffrey & Linda Ann Adams (he is OGC, Linda is Steve Lore's sister)

Sitting:     Marla Olsen (public relations), Sister Martin (MTC, from Centerville), Diane Gibb (Elder Gibb is the Area Health Advisor), Pauline, Kacher Elder Larry Kacher, Nick & Irene Eastmond (Human Rights, from Logan).

One of the recent arrivals from the US said the thing she enjoys most after being here for just a couple of weeks, is the "luxurious" relationship with the senior missionaries.  She is learning to adjust to this culture and what helps her most is this wonderful relationship we have with each other.  Elaine and I agree with her.  These people are "the salt of the earth".  Simply a pleasure to know, work, and be associated with them.
