A tough week...so no traveling, back to Maamobi for Sunday meetings

Each day in the office we look at pictures of the Area audit team.  We have a big board that includes pictures of the Area Audit Committee, the Area 70s, and the A2AAs ("assistants to the area auditor", the area auditors who manage teams), and lastly the AAAs (the "assistant area auditors"). The Area auditors are assigned to a one or more Coordinating Councils which is lead by an Area 70.  We had the six A2AAs come into Accra for an annual spring training (April 9-10, 2021).  One flew in from Sierra Leon, one from Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), two from Nigeria, and the last two drove in from parts of Ghana.  They came into town Thursday night and we had training meetings Friday and Saturday at the Area offices.  The Area Auditor, Atobora Brown, had Ross plan the training and create the agenda for the two days.  It was a big assignment.  It took gathering ideas, pulling together church training material to use, and then creating some PowerPoint presentat...

Saturday morning walk to the Koala

(note: this post is just by me, Ross) April 3, 2021 It is Saturday.  Easter Saturday.   I usually exercise a bit in the morning.  Today I decided to take a short morning walk to Koala Market to get some rolls for a Sunday dinner with friends tomorrow.  Not sure why it is called Koala except for the cute name.  They don't use the little bear as a marketing symbol.  I guess they just like the name.  This particular Koala Market is not far from our apartment.  We need some rolls, so I decided to get them this morning and take a walk for some different kind of morning exercise. The streets are much quieter on Saturday mornings.  Fewer cars, people not in a hurry.  The biggest safety issue isn't keeping an eye out for cars or insane motorcycles, but keeping clear of the gutters.  Remember?  The animal and small vehicle devouring gutters.  I don't want to ever know what it is like getting out of one of those things. ...
